Christmas and Halloween!

I have started making my Christmas cards, after receiving my new Papertrey Ink stamps in the post. I got the Believe Christmas set and I love it. The images are really simple and look good on a minimalist card. I really do prefer to do C&S cards for Christmas because I usually end up making a ton of them! This is the first card I have made using this set. The image is stamped with black Memento ink and coloured with Copics & white gel pen. Then I layered it with kraft card and some Christmas sentiment paper from Payper Box. The sentiment is stamped with Perfect Match ink in Fresh Snow, also from PTI. I've done about 20 of these so far, so I think I will move on to a different design now. I don't want to get sick of the stamp!

The next card is a Halloween one. I stamped a cobweb design on black card, using Fresh Snow ink. Then I punched out 3 circles and inked them with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink. The spider ad bat shapes are die cuts from the Cuttlebug.

Birthday Cards

Here's two birthday cards from yesterday. For the first one I used DCWV paper from the Rockstar stack. I clear embossed sugar skulls and raised them with pop dots and distressed the edges of the card a bit. It was kind of hard to take a photo of this one. To be honest, it was done in a bit of a rush as I was baking all day yesterday for a relative's birthday. The recipient seemed to like it though :)

All the paper from this one is from the DCWV Green stack. I love that it is 70% recycled paper and the designs are gorgeous. Lots of distressing and inking of edges on this one. The suede flowers are from Papermania. I bought these ages ago but could never find a use for them. This was a very quick card to make but I love the look of it.

It's been awhile!

It seems real life has gotten in the way of my crafting lately and I have totally neglected it. I had to make a new baby card for friends of my husband so I cracked on with it last night...finally! I didn't think the usual baby card would suit them so I used DCWV Rockstar stack, a Creative Imaginations embellishment and glitter letters from Making Memories. I got the Making Memories stickers in TK Maxx yesterday and paid only €6 for 4 big packs of letters & numbers. Also, I used some Tim Holtz inks for shading.

This second card was made last week for my son's Godfather, as a thank you for his birthday present. He's mad into all things pirate, so I thought this Bombshell stamp suited him down to the ground. The red card is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder & the letters are also from the Bombshell range. I think they're just called Tattoo letters.
